GEFYRA BEACH The closest beach to the Medusa Lux Apartments, at about a ten minute walk. A small local beach with snack bars, boat hire, and sunbed rental. Relax here and enjoy the local beach. Gefyra is also a good starting point to reach other beaches and the Paleokastrita area by boat or taxi boat transfer. ROVINIA BEACH Beauty in a beach! You can take a boat transfer from Gefyra beach or walk to Rovinia beach. (If driving best consider using one of the designated car parks on the way). Be prepared as there are no toilets or facilities there. Towards midday a canteen boat comes by selling sandwiches, drinks, beer, ice creams. The beach is famous to the area beautiful and one of the most popular. LIMNI BEACH Limni is a beautiful small isolated beach located about 2km from the village of Liapades. A completely natural beach, no facilities here so a picnic/water is advised. A short white strip of beach covered with smooth pebbles. At the strips end a huge rock stands in the sea thus creating a two sided beach, giving two beautiful bays with deep blue water in a relaxing, natural, environment. It also boasts views to Paleokastritsa, mountains and green landscape. Limni is also a good spot for snorkeling. This beach is only accessible by boat or by foot. LINIODOROS BEACH Liniodoros is another beautiful beach, located about 3.5 km away from Liapades and can be accessed by foot, jeep or boat from Liapades main beach (Gefyra). Liniodoros is a white pebble and partially sand beach. Crystal blue, clean and refreshing water awaits perfect for keeping cool. Natural surrounding landscape maintains its original character and charm so much so that it is not uncommon to see the white mountain goats appearing on the rocks from this point on along the coastline cliffs. Just the spot for nature lovers or some peace and tranquility. PARADISE BEACH (CHOMI) This beach is definitely worth a visit... if allowed. In current years the beach has been denied access due to the danger of falling rocks from the mountain behind. Please check at time of visit with boat rentals if it is permitted at that time to use the beach. If not possible to use the beach it is still very worth a boat ride along the beach to take in the stunning view. With amazingly beautiful crystal clear turquoise water it lives up to it’s name, PARADISE! KOLOVRI ISLAND A large rock in the sea known as Kolovri island can be found opposite Paradise beach (Chomi). Worth a view around it in a boat to look at the rock formations. Nestled on the top of the island are cactus plants that produce plenty of tempting unreachable Pavlosika (prickerly pear) fruits. From certain angles in the distance the island looks like a crocodile head. STELLARI BEACH Another gem of a beach, a long narrow beach that runs along the mountain coastline, with a high backdrop of tree topped cliffs. This beach can only be accessed by boat. There are many boat rentals/transfers/trips that can take you there and return to pick you up. Be prepared as there are no toilets or facilities there. Towards midday a canteen boat comes by which sells sandwiches, drinks, beer, ice creams. The long stretch of beach with its crystal clear sea shimmering in a range of blues is a delight to view and photograph.
